Avoid Firms without Licensed Professionals

There is no law preventing non-licensed individuals from preparing tax returns. Many of these firms use non-licensed professionals with fictitious titles such as “tax analyst”, “tax specialist”, or "tax consultant". They specialize on the volume of tax returns prepared, not the quality of their work.
